It eases pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID). Its effect comes from blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation (pain and swelling).
